Bracelets is my story about a young Kuwaiti girl, who lost a leg due to an IED. I was the first Flight Medic on the scene. I stayed with this girl in the 807th MASH until transferring her to a Saudi Arabian medical center. I comforted her throughout the entire flight, and as I was bringing her into the hospital, she stopped , reached to her wrist, and removed 2 gold bracelets, and in her best english, said, Allah be with you. I still have those bracelets to this day. Out of 33 lifesaving missions, she was my only save. These drawings are about those times...
